Себастиан е един от любимите ни артисти в София. Описва се като самоук художник, който наблюдава света с отворени очи и съзнание, за да открие вдъхновение във всичко наоколо. Швед по рождение, номад по душа, татуист, вечно преоткриващ, сюрреалистичен символист.
Запознахме се с него преди 2 години в metta и след няколко флотации се роди творба, която всеки любопитен флотиращ може да открие зад завесите близо до капсулата…
В настоящата ситуация на безтегловно ежедневие и несигурно бъдеще се обърнахме към Себастиан и други приятели – артисти, които да ни помогнат да навигираме емоциите и мислите си по пътя към (не)далечната 2030 г. Изкуството понякога предхожда рационалното развитие на историята. А вдъхновението отведе Себа към един цитат на Помпей Велики от преди 2000 г.:

„The idea revolves around the quote by Pompey the Great. „Navigare necesse est, vivere non est necesse!“. „To sail, or to journey, is essential, to live is not essential!“. The painting takes off in this – mankind’s need to pursuit, to aim, to venture, discover and achieve at all costs. We have always dived into the unknown willing to risk lives – to aim, pursuit, explore and conquer. And we have done so, even if it has had very bad consequences and even if it was done on others expense.
Looking back on our entirety as humans it’s impossible to call it good or bad. Right or wrong. Our minds have been of enormous service to us over the lapse of human history. Look what we have achieved. But we are also totally identified with our mind. It’s not a tool at our disposal. We can’t switch it off. And it’s a tool that is ready to risk life, to sacrifice. But we are not a mind. We have a mind, within our consciousness.
I believe 10 years from now, just a few more people will wake up to this – The mind, the ego, the human was not a mistake. The universe did not make a mistake. It was necessary to happen. It should happen and it did. But now we realise what we’ve done. The totality of it. Slowly, more and more. And maybe children will be born who can be taught this from the start of their life. Or rather, be taught how to not forget it.
